BigCommerce Multi-Storefront (MSF)

Last Updated: June 17, 2025

ReturnGO supports BigCommerce Multi-Storefront (MSF), enabling you to efficiently manage returns across all your storefronts.

Managing Returns Across Multiple Storefronts

BigCommerce Multi-Storefront enables you to operate multiple distinct storefronts from a single BigCommerce store. This means you can have different domains, branding, and customer experiences for each storefront, while managing your catalog, orders, and data from one centralized BigCommerce backend.

ReturnGO connects directly to this single BigCommerce backend, providing a unified yet flexible solution for managing returns across your multiple storefronts.

Setting Up ReturnGO for Multi-Storefront

To set up ReturnGO for your BigCommerce Multi-Storefront instance:

  1. Install ReturnGO for BigCommerce.
  2. Ask your onboarding manager to create a separate ReturnGO portal for each of your BigCommerce storefronts.
  3. Configure the settings, eligibility rules, policies, integrations, and return methods for each portal.
  4. Ensure that each storefront displays the link to its corresponding ReturnGO portal.

How ReturnGO For MSF Works

ReturnGO connects to your BigCommerce store, enabling you to offer separate portals for each storefront while keeping the backend perfectly in sync.

Separate Return Portals

You can create multiple ReturnGO return portals for each of your BigCommerce storefronts. You can customize each return portal individually to match each brand or segment’s style and create a seamless experience for your customers.

Independent Settings and Rules

Each ReturnGO portal has its own separate settings and return eligibility rules, providing granular control over your return policies, enabling you to customize them based on the specific needs of each storefront.

For example, you might have different return windows, languages, restocking fees, or return methods for different brands or regions.

Shared Backend Resources

While your ReturnGO portals are separate, they all draw data from your single BigCommerce backend.

This means that your product catalog, inventory, and billing are shared across all your storefronts and are reflected consistently within ReturnGO, preventing data duplication and ensuring accuracy across your operations.

Navigating Between Portals

Each portal is managed separately within the ReturnGO dashboard. You can easily navigate between portals via the dropdown on the left side menu.

This enables you to view and process return requests for each storefront separately, while ensuring that inventory and data are synced.
