Integration with the Shop App

Last Updated: November 14, 2024

ReturnGO's integration with the Shop app powered by Shopify is designed to enable customers to initiate and view returns directly from the Shop app, leading them directly to your brand's return portal.

Requirements

This feature is currently in beta and not yet available to all merchants. Apply to join the beta.

To use the ReturnGO-Shop integration, you will need:

  • Shopify store, with the Shop app sales channel fully set up
  • Return portal configured and active on your website

How it Works

The ReturnGO-Shop integration works in the following way:

  1. A Manage Returns button appears on the order page within the Shop app.
    Shop app
  2. Customers get redirected to your return portal in a browser.
  3. The relevant order is automatically opened in the portal, with no need to input order details.
  4. After submitting the return request, customers are automatically redirected back to the Shop app.

Limitations

When using the ReturnGO-Shop integration, please be aware of the following limitations:

  • Return status information is not currently displayed to customers within the Shop app.
  • The ReturnGO dashboard does not currently distinguish between RMAs coming from your Shop store and other RMAs.

How to Configure ReturnGO for the Shop App

To add the Manage Returns button to your Shop order page:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Products & Services.
  2. Open the Shopify Integration section.
  3. Enable the Start returns from the Shop app toggle.
  4. Click on the save icon to save your changes.
    Shop app settings
  5. Test the integration by viewing an order in the Shop app and clicking MANAGE RETURNS.

Note: After you enable the setting, it may take a few minutes to take effect.
