These FAQs cover how ReturnGO offers a seamless refund process, including various refund options for your customers and easy management for you.
How does ReturnGO issue refunds?
ReturnGO issues refunds through Shopify. Shopify has the original payment information and amount paid, and ReturnGO notifies Shopify of the amount to refund and the refund method.
Can a customer ask for a refund for more than one item?
Yes, you can define how many items a customer can return at a time.
Can a customer request a refund for different items within the same order separately?
Yes, customers can return items within the same order at different times.
How does ReturnGO offer store credit?
ReturnGO store credit is issued as a Shopify discount code. Store credit is rechargeable, so you can add more credit to the same store credit discount code.
Does ReturnGO support refunds to store credit and gift cards with added bonuses?
Yes. You can add a bonus amount by a percentage or fixed amount to store credit or gift card refunds.
What is the difference between store credit and gift cards?
The difference between store credit and gift cards is that store credit is a discount code that can only be used to pay for an item's value and can’t be used to pay for shipping and taxes, and also can’t be used alongside another discount code.
On the other hand, gift cards are Shopify gift cards that can be used to pay for the whole amount of the order and are treated like credit cards.
Store credit is rechargeable, so you can add more credit to the same store credit/discount code, while gift cards can’t be recharged.
How can I see how much store credit a customer has left?
You can find and adjust customers’ store credit under Analytics > Credits.
Can I refund the original shipping cost together with the refund?
You can refund the original shipping costs, along with the refund amount. Enable this setting under Settings > Store Settings, in the General Returns section, and define it per policy rule.
