Transactions

The Transactions page provides an overview of all financial transactions related to returns processed through the ReturnGO portal. This includes refunds, payment authorizations, store credits, gift cards, invoices, and others.

Transactions List

On the Transactions page, you’ll find a table that lists all portal transactions with key details. Each transaction is displayed with the following columns:

  • ID: A unique transaction ID to track each transaction.
  • Date & Time: The date and time when the transaction occurred.
  • Customer ID: The unique identifier for the customer who initiated the transaction. Clicking the Customer ID takes you to the customer’s profile on your eCommerce platform.
  • Order ID: The order ID of the order associated with the transaction.
  • RMA ID: The RMA linked to the transaction.
  • Platform Transaction ID: The reference ID provided by your payment processor or platform, if applicable.
  • Credits: The amount issued as store credit to the customer, including incentives.
  • Gift Cards: The amount issued as gift cards to the customer, including incentives.
  • Money: The amount refunded to the customer's original payment method through the portal. A negative value indicates a refund, while a positive value indicates a payment.
  • Action: The type of transaction, which can be one of the following:
    • Refund: Indicates a refund to the customer.
    • Invoice: An invoice was issued for the transaction.
    • Purchase: A purchase transaction made by the customer.
    • Authorization: A payment authorization hold was placed on the customer’s payment method.
    • Capture: A payment was successfully captured via the portal checkout.
      Each action is accompanied by a directional arrow that shows the flow of money:
      • A green arrow means your store received a payment.
      • A red arrow means a refund was issued to the customer.
      • No arrow means no money changed hands (e.g., in authorizations).
  • Status: The current status of the transaction, which can be one of the following:
    • Requested: The transaction is pending or awaiting processing.
    • Success: The transaction was successfully completed.
    • Canceled: The transaction was canceled and not processed.

Search Transactions

To view specific transactions on the Transactions page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Analytics > Transactions.
  2. You can search by Customer ID or apply filters to narrow down the results.

The available filters are:

  • Date range
  • Transaction type:
    • Any: Show all transactions.
    • Purchase: Show payment transactions.
    • Refund: Show transactions where a refund was issued to the customer, either to the original payment method, as store credit, or as a gift card.

Download Reports

To download transaction reports:

  1. Go to Analytics > Transactions.
  2. Filter the transactions to show the transactions you want a report on.
  3. Click the appropriate button to download the report:
  • Click the BANK REFUNDS REPORT button to download a report of all bank refund records.
  • Click the TRANSACTIONS REPORT button to download a full report of all transaction types, including credits, gift cards, refunds, and more based on the filters you’ve applied.

4. Save the file on your device.

Once you’ve downloaded a transaction report, you can download the report again or generate a new one with different filters.
