Return Shipments

Last Updated: March 27, 2025

The Return Shipments page lets you view and track all your return shipments.

Limitations

  • This page exclusively tracks return shipments and is not designed for outbound order shipments.
  • Shipments with No Shipment Required return methods will not appear on this page.
  • Shipments with Ship with any Carrier return methods will show limited information, as ReturnGO does not receive the relevant shipping data.
  • If you're not using Ship by ReturnGO, you may see limited data on the page, depending on what data is sent to ReturnGO by your shipping provider.

Information Displayed

The Return Shipments page displays the following information about each shipment:

  • RMA ID: Displays the RMA ID. This helps you identify and manage the return request associated with the shipment. Clicking it opens the RMA page for that return request.
  • Order: Shows the original order number tied to the return shipment. This allows you to trace the return to the corresponding purchase. Clicking it takes you directly to the corresponding order page on your eCommerce platform.
  • Tracking: Shows the return shipment's tracking number. Clicking it opens the carrier's tracking page, where you can check the shipment's real-time status. If there is no tracked return shipping label, such as for returns using Return to Drop-off Location or Ship with Any Carrier return methods, this will show N/A.
  • Status: Indicates the shipment's current status, such as In Transit, Late, or Received.
  • Carrier: Displays the shipping carrier handling the return. If there is no tracked return shipping label, such as for returns using Return to Drop-off Location or Ship with Any Carrier return methods, this will show N/A.
  • Return Method Type: Shows the RMA’s return method.
  • Shipped Created Date: Shows when the return shipment was shipped.
  • Customer: Displays the customer ID. Clicking it takes you to the customer profile in your eCommerce platform.
  • Label Cost: Displays the label cost as received from the carrier. Keep in mind that this is the actual cost of the shipping label that was paid, and not the fee charged to the customer.
    • For Return Guard or Ship by ReturnGO shipments, this reflects the price billed by ReturnGO. The total amount billed for all ReturnGO labels can be found on the Billing page.

Note: If you're not using Ship by ReturnGO, you may see limited data on the page, depending on what data is sent to ReturnGO by your shipping provider.

For example, label costs are often not available when using shipping providers other than Ship by ReturnGO.

Downloading Return Shipments Report

You can download a report of your return shipments directly from the Return Shipments page.

 To download the shipments report:

  3. Click REPORT.
    Download Shipment Report 2

4. Save the file on your device.

Using ReturnGO API for Carrier Integration

If you want to track return shipments from a shipping carrier that isn’t directly integrated with ReturnGO, you can use the ReturnGO API to connect the carrier. Once set up, those return shipments will also appear on the Return Shipments page.
